How It Works – Step-by-Step Workflow

When you open the AI Assistant, you'll move through a simple workflow:

  1. Choose an Action
Select what you want the AI Assistant to do:

    • Fix grammar – Correct spelling, grammar, and minor wording issues.

    • Translate to other language – Translate your selected content.

    • Optimize with prompt and context – Rewrite and improve your existing text using tone settings, full-email context, and optional custom instructions.

💡 Optimize with prompt and context improves and refines existing content. It does not create a completely new email from scratch.

    Click Next to continue.

  2. Set the Tone
Customize the output based on your desired:

    • Audience

    • Formality

    • Intent (e.g., promote, inform)

    • Emoji usage

    • Language

  3. Add Custom Instructions and Choose Context (Optional)
In this step, you can provide additional guidance for the AI Assistant.

    For example:

    • “Make it more benefit-focused.”

    • “Shorten the paragraphs.”

    • “Make the CTA more direct.”

    • “Adapt for a B2B SaaS audience.”

By default, the AI Assistant uses all email blocks (the entire newsletter) as context to ensure consistent and relevant improvements.

Advanced: Select or Deselect Context Blocks

If you want the AI to generate text based on specific parts of your email only:

    1. Click Select custom blocks.

    2. Choose which content elements to include as context.

      • Use Select all or Select none for quick selection.

      • Expand blocks to preview their content before selecting.

    3. Click Next to return to the Custom Instructions step.

If you don’t change anything, the AI will use the entire email as context.
You can also deselect all blocks to not let the AI using context from your email yet still (re)write all blocks based on your input - that's risky, use with caution.

You can always see at the context line what is the context level - all, none, selected.

    When ready, click Generate.

Using the Context Selector for Smarter AI Suggestions

To help the AI Assistant generate more accurate and relevant content, you can use the Context Selector step to provide supporting elements from your email. These help the AI better understand your message, tone, and intent—leading to more aligned suggestions.

When and where the Context Selector appears

The Context Selector appears:

  • Only after tone selection

  • Only for actions where additional input improves results, such as:

    • Translate to other language

    • Generate similar content

    • Generate text based on notes

You will not see this step for simpler actions like Fix grammar.

Context selector screen

What you can select as context

You’ll see a scrollable list of elements from your email. These include:

  • Titles

  • Text blocks

  • Buttons

  • Paragraphs

  • Lists

  • Other editable content blocks

Each item is labeled by type (e.g., “Paragraph,” “Button,” or internal label text like “Typed-Text”) and displays a preview of the content it contains. You can:

  • Check the boxes next to the items you want to include

  • Use “Select all” or “Select none” at the top to quickly toggle your selection

💡 How context improves results

Adding context helps the AI:

  • Understand your email’s tone and style

  • Avoid repeating what's already in the email

  • Generate content that matches your current structure

  • Tailor suggestions based on what’s already written

📝 Tip: For best results, include your main message or headline to guide the AI’s understanding.

What happens after context selection?

Once you’ve selected context items:

  • Click “Generate”

  • The AI will use your selected elements to influence the generated output

  • You’ll move to the final approval step, where you can preview and insert changes

Summary 🪄

The AI Assistant is your shortcut to better email content — whether you're creating something new, refining existing copy, or just need quick ideas. It saves time, keeps your tone consistent, and helps you produce emails that convert.
